WIND
ENSEMBLE

The Westview GOLD Wind Ensemble is recognized for its exceptional musicianship, consistently earning Unanimous Superior ratings at festivals and performing repertoire typically reserved for collegiate and professional ensembles.

Participation in the Wind Ensemble is by audition, with auditions generally taking place just before the beginning of the school year. To support instrumentation needs, some members also participate in extracurricular ensembles such as the Full Orchestra and Pit Orchestra.

 

The Wind Ensemble regularly showcases its talents through special performances, spring tours, and educational clinics. Past opportunities have included participation in the UCLA Wind Ensemble Invitational, collaborations with the Australian Cameraygal Wind Symphony, and a performance at Copley Symphony Hall.
