CONCERTS & SHOWS
ORCHESTRA FALL CONCERT
Typically held on a mid-October evening, Orchestra performs musical pieces in the Westview Theater. Admission to the concert is free/open seating.
Orchestra seniors are also celebrated on this evening. Parents of seniors will be invited to join their students on stage for this special recognition.
GOLD SHOWS
Each December and May, all GOLD groups perform in a themed show which is held in the Westview Theater over two days (Wed-Thurs).
Students perform both with their instrumental sections and respective band/orchestra or with Colorguard.
These shows are a great fundraiser for the group and are reserved seating. Watch for ticket release information!
FESTIVAL AWARDS CONCERT
The Festival Awards Concert gives students the opportunity to hear their peers perform their Festival music. All students are required to attend. Due to limited space, only parents of the award recipients are invited to attend.
The evening begins with Winterguard performing outside the theater followed by Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Full Orchestra inside the theater. Awards are presented between performances.
Awards presented during on this evening include the John Phillip Sousa Band Award and Director's awards for categories such as Outstanding Musician and Exceptional Growth.
COMPOSER FESTIVALS
A guest conductor/composer may come and direct the orchestra and/or bands to perform their compositions.
These workshops culminate in an evening concert presented by the musical groups.
