CONCERT/SYMPHONIC BANDS

In mid-January, the Competitive and Non-competitive bands transition into the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and the by-audition Wind Ensemble.

 

The Westview GOLD Concert and Symphonic bands are known for their excellence, receiving nearly all Superior and Unanimous Superior ratings in Festivals as well as in sight-reading.  They perform a variety of literature, including some which is normally reserved for colleges.

Concert Band consists of 9th grade students, while Symphonic Band consists of 10th through 12th grade students.  Interested students simply enroll in the class; no audition is required.
