FESTIVALS

After marching season ends, concert season begins.  The competitive and non-competitive bands morph into concert band (freshman), symphonic band (grades 10-12), and wind ensemble (audition group).

During concert season, students perform a high-level repertoire for band and orchestra festivals.  Bands from various schools attend and perform for judges to receive constructive comments and criticism.  All Westview GOLD musicians attend the El Camino Festival in mid-March and Poway Festival in early April. Students are bused for school day performance times; students with evening performances must provide their own transportation.
